Finding Los Angeles

Given a very simple brief, Stefano De Martino asked us to find something that interested us about Los Angeles and develop a project that wasn't a single building.

Los Angeles has an abundance of parking lots and with LA being the most popular test center for autonomous vehicles I wondered, what would happen to these parking lots?

This plan, like shown in the videos below, showcase one scenario that could be applied all over the city where as parking becomes needed less and less the spaces can be repurposed for the people of Downtown Los Angeles. Starting with a single parking spot, program like drive-in theatre, dining and food truck can ultimatey become overtime a green park, a skate park, a theatre, an opera plus so much more as long as the program applies to the context of the surrounding residents.
